No, means No - Editorial

Updated: Dec 1, 2022

We are all already exhausted, we always hit the same button and even if it is necessary, we will repeat it every day, so that everyone can understand: if there is no clear consent, IT MEANS NO!

How many times have they respected your no?

How many times have you overcome the barrier of your "no", forcing a situation, whether in a psychological appeal or even crossing the limits using physical force, can you remember how many times your "no" was in vain?

In the last two years (2020-2021) there has been an explosion of cases of violence against women, against the LGBTQIA+ community. Today, we - Brazil - occupy the 5th position in the world ranking of femicide, and we are the country that kills the most people from the LGBTQIA+ community.

We are living in a culture of normalizing absurdities.

The candidacy of Jair Bolsonaro in 2018 for presidency only reinforced the chorus of groups that until then were hidden, are now evident in society, sexist, racist, misogynist, xenophobic, Nazi, supremacist, among other groups, are transiting among us, nomartivaly.

The biggest example that the president's speeches reflect on society as a whole is that neo-Nazi groups grew 270% in the last 3 years.

We have reached a point where people are advocating creating a neo-Nazi party so that there can be debate, government members appear in open channels drinking their glasses of milk to demonstrate the “superiority of the white race”, among various other gestures and barbarities.

Brazil has plunged into a civilizational abyss, do you know why?

Because it was TOLERANT, with the INTOLERABLE.
